Storing your logs and sawn timber

• Keep logs off the ground on wooden sleepers or stones, so the underside stays dry.
• Store them in shade or under a cover that still lets air through. Do not wrap them airtight.
• Seal the cut ends with paint or end-sealer soon after delivery to reduce end cracks.
• Saw the logs as soon as you can. Timber seasons more evenly once it is cut to size.
• Stack sawn sizes flat with spacers between each layer, and let them season before use.
• Keep the stack away from standing water, damp walls and termite-prone soil.

• Made to order. Most pieces are made after you order. The delivery estimate shown at checkout is our best estimate, not a guaranteed date.
• Prices. The price shown is for the product as described. Taxes and delivery are shown separately at checkout where they apply.
• Delivery. The delivery charge depends on your location and the size of the order. See our Shipping Policy.
• Cancellation and returns. These follow our Refund Policy. Items made or cut to your size cannot be cancelled once work has started.
• Inspection. Please check the product at delivery and tell us about any transit damage within 48 hours, with photographs.
• Custom work. Changes to size, polish or design are confirmed in writing before work begins and may change the price and the delivery time.

• Timber is a natural product. Knots, sapwood, heart cracks, bends and colour variation are normal and differ from log to log.
• Photographs show the kind of log on offer, not necessarily the exact log you will receive.
• Girth, length and cubic feet are measured by the standard trade method and are approximate. The measurement taken at our yard at the time of loading is final.
• The yield of sawn timber from a log depends on its shape and on how it is cut, and cannot be guaranteed.
• Prices are per cubic foot unless stated otherwise, and are open to negotiation for bulk orders - please call us.
