Who we are
This website, www.acrwoods.com, and the ACR Traders mobile app are run by ACR Traders, a sole proprietorship dealing in timber and wood products from Tenkasi, Tamil Nadu. The proprietor's name, our registered address and our GSTIN are given under "Seller details" at the bottom of this page. Where these terms say "we", "us" or "our", they mean ACR Traders. Where they say "you", they mean the person using the website or app, or placing an order.
Using the website and app
You may browse freely. To place an order or send a quotation request you need an account, and you must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. You agree not to use the website or app for any unlawful purpose, and not to interfere with how it works or with its security.
Your account
You do not set a password with us. To sign in, we email you a one-time code, and entering it signs you in. You can also sign in with your Google account, in which case Google confirms your email address to us. Please keep access to your email secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in as you, and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.
You can close your account at any time from your profile. Our Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information when you do.
Our products
Timber is a natural material. Grain, colour, figure and small variations in size occur naturally and differ from piece to piece. Photographs show the type of product you are buying and are indicative rather than an exact likeness of the piece you will receive. This is normal for wood and is not treated as a defect.
Dimensions are given in the units shown against each product. Where an item is cut to a size you specify, the tolerance normally accepted in the timber trade applies.
Prices and tax
All prices are in Indian Rupees. Each product says whether its price already includes GST ("Inclusive of Tax") or whether GST is added at checkout ("+ GST"). Before you pay, the checkout shows the full amount: the price of each item, the GST, any delivery charge and any discount.
We take care over prices and stock, but mistakes happen. If an item you ordered was listed at the wrong price or turns out to be unavailable, we will contact you before dispatch. You can then accept the correct price or cancel, and if you cancel we refund everything you paid.
Payment
You can pay online through our payment gateway, Razorpay, by card, UPI, net banking or wallet, or by cash on delivery where it is offered for your order. We never see or store your card or bank login details; the payment gateway handles them.
Your order
When you place an order, and for an online payment once the payment succeeds, we send you an order confirmation. At that point the order is agreed between us, subject to the price and stock exception above and to your rights to cancel and return.
Quotations and cut-to-size timber
You can send us a list of sizes for a quotation through the website or the app. A quotation is our offer for that list. It is not an order, and neither of us is bound until you accept it and we confirm. Prices on a quotation can be discussed with us. Because timber prices change, please ask us to confirm a quotation that is more than a few days old before you rely on it.
Timber cut to sizes you give us is made for you. Our Refund and Cancellation Policy explains when such items can and cannot be cancelled or returned.
Delivery, cancellation and refunds
Where we deliver, how long it takes and how delivery is charged are set out in our Shipping and Delivery Policy. Your right to cancel or return, and how refunds work, are set out in our Refund and Cancellation Policy. Both form part of these terms.
Reviews and content you submit
If you submit a review, a photograph or a design, you confirm that it is your own and that we may publish it on the website and in the app. Reviews are checked before they appear. We may decline or remove anything unlawful, misleading, offensive or unrelated to the product.
Our content
The text, photographs, logos and design of the website and app belong to us or to our suppliers. You may not copy or reuse them for commercial purposes without our written permission.
Our responsibility to you
We take care to describe our products accurately and to supply goods that match that description. We are not responsible for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, or for loss caused by misuse, incorrect installation, or failure to store or maintain timber properly.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Indian consumer law.
Complaints
If something has gone wrong, please contact us first. Our Grievance Officer's details are at the bottom of this page. We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within one month of receiving it. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the National Consumer Helpline (1915, or consumerhelpline.gov.in) or file a complaint with the Consumer Commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Apart from your right to bring a consumer complaint where you live, the courts at Tenkasi, Tamil Nadu have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date of the last change is shown at the top of this page. The version that was live when you placed an order is the one that applies to that order, and we record which version that was.
